The Challenge

Video IT Production Services faced growing competition and pricing wars within the existing market from other producers and editors for wedding videos. They contracted services for an HCC consultant to identify new business opportunities to expand their service capabilities. By doing so, they hoped to circumvent continued revenue losses, and make their business more competitive.

The Solution

As a result of a thorough review of VIP’s business operations and applications, HCC’s consultant assisted the company in developing a creative state-of-the-art concept that became a unique service capability that only VIPS provided. The new concept enabled VIPS to form joint ventures between event management companies conducting fashion shows. In addition to that, VIPS was able to develop a secondary revenue stream, by renting digital video props to other production companies and events producers for fashion shows .

The Results

The HCC solution enabled VIPS to improve resource management, decrease and even eliminate cost duplications. In addition, they have created a highly proprietary product concept which is now the hallmark of fashion show productions created by VIPS. An unexpected benefit was also realized: resource requirements associated with prop construction were reduced to 80%, which resulted in a 20% cost reduction for personnel and materials.
