And at
HCC, we also believe that it takes a village of
businesses to raise the community…
Volunteering of
time, our talents and services is the right thing to do. It
allows us to give back meaningful value to the communities
where we do business. And it provides a means for HCC to
demonstrate our business effectiveness. We provide support
to community projects with the same dedication we do for our
own business and the clients we serve.
Some of
our contributions in community volunteerism include the
following :
Managed
communications for “Celebrating Abilities” – a
venture of the State of Georgia Association for the Learning
Disabled. HCC's consultant served as the Chair of the
Communications Committee for this annual fundraising event.
The event sponsored by Kroger Foods Incorporated, was held
at the Galleria Mall in Cobb County, Georgia. Over 500
members of the medical and professional communities attended
the gala dinner to benefit Georgia’s learning disabled.
Established Computer Access Center to teach
and improve computer skills for welfare recipients. This
valuable training enabled them to transition into becoming
productive community members. HCC developed a plan which
increased the number of corporate employees who volunteered
to serve as instructors, gained funding from executives and
major corporations, and supervised the implementation of the
training program.
