AT&T
Atlanta, Georgia
The Challenge
After a major reorganization, “the real work” began for AT&T: how to connect hundreds of vendors and suppliers – each with their own system requirements - into AT&T’s newly installed, extremely complex and highly advanced networking systems.
The Solution
Extremely crucial Project Management tasks were put into action. The work included determining the scope of the project, forming a planning team, making assignments and scheduling completion dates to meet deadlines.
All aspects of the conversion were researched, a proposal was authored, goals were developed, and the mission was clearly defined. Document management systems were established for all business partners in order to gain quick access to engineering drawings and floor plans. This was extremely critical for the network architecture to meet AT&T requirements.
The Results
This major international conversion project was not only brought in under budget – but also netted a cost savings of over $1-million.
